We're Going Camping!!!!
Last night we reserved our campsite for our next camping adventure! We looked at several campgrounds within four hours of home and decided on, oh wait, I can't tell you yet. Let's just say it's an under-rated park/campground with very few online videos posted. There isn't even a video showing the what the campsites look like. So, we'll try to remedy that.
In the meantime, we have some preparation work ahead of us. This part is almost as much fun as camping. Lists to make, a bit of shopping to do, sorting and packing, not to mention we need to repair the headboard Joe made. He made it to disassemble, but the last time we took it apart several pieces broke. But Joe wanted to make adjustments to it anyway.
We also need to change the flooring in the tent. While tarps, a carpet remnant and throws are okay, I think there is a more efficient solution. It needs to be insulating, protective, comfortable to the feet, able to set up/take down easily, not take up much space in the van or at home and moderately attractive.
Also, our old laptop has failed. Not sure what to do about that. We used it mainly to watch dvd's when we couldn't sleep. Now we could just enjoy the sounds of campground at night. That would make sense.
Meal planning will be a key component to this adventure. We will be camping 4 nights and I fully intend make all of our meals. I might even try sprouting greens while we're out.
This camping trip will not be a "lite" trip. We always over pack anyway, and this will be no different. We will enjoy having campfires at the campsite!
