Planning the Future

I am working on some new projects to keep my mind busy as I await surgery.

One is for fun. I opened a shop on Zazzle.com.

I'll be making and selling mainly bumper stickers and t-shirts. I made my first two.. here is one for backyard chickens.

Update: I have made several and started a series of bumper stickers titled, "Camping Confessions."


I don't know if it will amount to anything, but it's something I have wanted to do for awhile in order to start transitioning to a home-based lifestyle. Joe and I both make jewelry, and our living room is still a studio, we haven't been working on it lately. We want to get back to it. I don't know how long my health will let me to continue to work full time and I need to have another source of income coming in.

Since we put buying property on hold because of my health, I feel I need to be still be contributing to our future.

I also want to make more videos and of course, go camping!

My recovery slows as each day I go to work. Sitting for 9 hours plus 1 hour round-trip commute causes me so much pain and fatigue.

Not sure any of this makes sense.

Last Post on the Blog

So far, this year has the potential to be the most important year in decades. Not just for this country and world, but on a far smaller scale, personally. With my cancer in remission, Joe and I are set to begin a whole new chapter in our lives together. We have both put in our notices at work and have started the process of moving.   So this will be my last entry for this blog. I will start a new blog about the next chapter soon. There are so many awesome things in the works, but I won’t say until they are about to happen. Can’t give certain people too much information…they know who they are. New Year....Summing Up

2019 is in the history books. It was stressful, painful and hopeful. I am still considered in remission on the cancer front. I've had a mammogram and a colonoscopy back last fall and they came back clear. I am still suffering from the side effects of all the chemo and radiation treatments I had. The biggest ones are the fatigue and joint pain. My hair is growing back a curly salt and pepper grey. If I seem distant, it is because I am... There has been so much going on that I don't know where to start. At work, most of my favorite coworkers have left or are getting ready to leave...making me feel alone and disconnected from my workplace. I started doing the monthly newsletter for the club and that has been added stress, but at the same time, I enjoy the mental stimulation. Every other part of my job is wearing me down. What to do...

I don't know what to write about. How about the progress on the CBD oil? So far, I have noticed that I can stay calmer than usual. Also, my appetite has leveled off and I don't CRAVE food. The inflammation in my knees has gone down but the pain still peaks at an 8-9 on the pain scale. It's only a constant pain in the evening. I can definitely tell when I need another dose. I've lost 10 pounds in the past week and I  know part of that loss is fluid. I'd like to think part is from not eating as much as I usually do. I just don't feel that intense longing for food. I'm sleeping better too. Not to brag, but so far since Jan. 1st, I have lost 13.4 pounds. Some times I feel like I am attempting to ride a roller coaster in reverse trying to undo the damage I have allowed on my body.
